Everything You Need to Know About GoPro Hero 11 Black

It\’s finally here, the new GoPro Hero 11 Black, along with some nice new upgrades.

1. Larger Sensor

The Hero 11 boasts an 8 x 7 imaging sensor to capture all the details in your fast-paced life. The new sensor comes with a warm welcome and will allow you to easily crop your video for various platforms. Gone are the days of shooting in either landscape or portrait!

2. Hypersmooth 5.0

GoPro continues to push the envelope with their Hypersmooth technology and with Hypersmooth 5.0 the GoPro will automatically \”boost\” the stabilization in your footage when needed.

3. Better Horizon Leveling

Horizon lock was less than unimpressive on the Hero 10 Black, and truthfully, I could never seem to get the results it claimed. Your GoPro had to be in specific settings and it just wasn\’t practical. With the Hero 11, the horizon lock will function similarly to the GoPro Max and will feature a 360º rotation lock with nearly all resolutions. This is definitely a needed improvement that I cannot wait to put to use!

4. More Superview

Not only is Superview available in higher resolutions, GoPro is also utilizing the larger imaging sensor to introduce a new lens, Hyperview. Hyperview will capture the widest field-of-view for users allowing first-person shots to capture the most action possible.

5. Better Battery Life

The Hero 11 will now ship exclusively with the Enduro battery vs the standard-weather batteries previously included. Let me tell you, the Enduro battery is so necessary for pro-longed shooting in any environment. The batter can extend recording time up to 38% and from personal experience, it\’s been incredible for shooting in the cold. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxS3J9EEbnw&t=1s

Should You Upgrade?

Short answer, yes. The improved imaging sensor adds more than enough functionality and makes framing your shots easier than ever. On top of the new sensor, the improved resolutions and frame rates, the ease-of-use settings, and the extended battery life this upgrade is a no-brainer.

The Hero 11 brings so many hybrid features from the GoPro Max making the Hero 11 Black the most well-rounded GoPro to date.

The GoPro Hero 11 Black is on sale now through various retailers and the new GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini goes on sale on October 25.
